History of Amy Belle
Amy Belle Elementary School, located in Colgate, WI, is a 4K-5th grade building in the Germantown School District. Rich in history, Amy Belle School was established in 1855 and was then known as District 5 School. Amy Belle officially became a part of the Germantown School District in 1964.
Over the years, there have been many changes to Amy Belle School, with the most recent being a remodel and addition completed in 2019-2020. Currently, Amy Belle School has over 300 students and consists of two or three classrooms per grade level. Although Amy Belle School is located right outside of the Village of Germantown, due to its location, size and high family engagement, it has a small, rural feel. It has always been a priority for our staff to create a positive school community where all students feel like they belong.
