For incoming freshmen, return your course selection form to Germantown High School by Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Note: Students who register for classes after the due date will be marked late. Students with a "late" notation will be the first individuals removed from courses that have exceeded enrollment capacities.

Germantown High School offers a comprehensive curriculum to meet the diverse interests and needs of students. Courses offered prepare students for successful entry into the world of work or continued schooling upon graduation.

It is strongly recommended students utilize the resources and links on this page to guide their selection of high school courses and develop post-secondary plans. Students are encouraged to use the scheduling process to plan a strong four-year sequence that can be used as a springboard into a career field - either through technical schooling, a four-year college program, apprenticeships, or other special career programs after high school graduation. Schedule a Meeting With a School Counselor
Counselors in our Student Services Department are here to help support students through the process of scheduling courses, college planning, testing, career opportunities, academic support, counseling, and more.
Each December, school counselors assign classroom time to go over this information with students; however, it is strongly recommended parents also take time reviewing this information. At any time, students and parents are encouraged to contact a school counselor for clarification, additional information, or any assistance they may need in the course selection process.
Below, school counselor contact information is laid out for each counselor, as well as an option to schedule a meeting time. You will notice counselors are assigned based on student last name.

Credit Requirements For Graduation
GHS requires students to earn 23 credits to graduate. Please refer to the full list for a breakdown of required credits in each academic area. One-half credit is awarded for a semester course; one credit is awarded for a full-year course.
