Congratulations to our GHS Forensics Team for once again finishing 1st in the small team category at the Wisconsin Forensics Coach's Association Tournament in Port Washington a few Saturdays ago! Special awards went to Madelyn Delfield, Aiza Khan, Grace Schmechel, Paige Holke and Arjun Chopra.
Congratulations to the powerlifting team who competed in the USA Powerlifting High School National Championships March 24th-26. The team did extremely well bringing home 1st place awards for both the JV and Varsity Equipped Women divisions and having 14 out of 16 competitors place in the top 5. Of the team's 16 competitors, there were 3 JV National Champions; Elle Kroll, Logan Winiecki, and Ashley Kelley, and 3 Varsity National Champions; Jacob Pemberton, Avery Dunlap (the team's first female varsity National Champion), and Brady Flasch (the team's first ever two-time National Champion). Jacob Pemberton also set 4 Teen 2 records in his weight class with a squat of 628, bench of 369, deadlift of 518, and a total of 1,516 pounds. Congratulations to the team on a fantastic season!
During Spring Break the GHS Bands traveled to Boston, MA. Highlights of the tour included a performance at Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market, tours of the USS Constitution, Harvard, a Ghost and Gravestone Tour, Boston Tea Party Museum, New England Aquarium, visit to Salem for the witch trials and House of Seven Gables. Congratulations to the students who were fantastic representatives of Germantown.
The Lakeshore Lightning concluded its season in the Regional Finals falling by a final score of 2-1 to the University School of Milwaukee Wildcats. The Lightning finished the 2021-2022 season with an overall 9-12-1 record (4-3 in Conference) a 4th place finish in the Eastern Shores Conference (best in program history). Well done to all!
This week concludes the indoor season for the track and field team. The varsity team hosted the conference meet on Tuesday & Wednesday.

A 3rd place finish for the 4x240m relay team of Riley Olson, Macie Daniel, Emily Mohs, and Lily Wagner.
A 1st place finish for the 4x400m relay team of Reese Berge, Claire Reedy, Melanie Marks, and Gretchen McNeal.

Jayson Koel - 3rd place in the 55m Dash, 1st place in the 200m Dash
JV Myles - 1st place in the long jump and triple jump
Hunter Gosz - 2nd place in the high jump

A 3rd place finish for the 4x400m relay team of AJ Willard, Joey Knopp, Jonas Price, and Hunter Gosz.
